It is open Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays. Hours are from 10:00 to 16:00 (please enter by 15:30).

Admission is 500 yen for adults (ages 18 to 64) and 200 yen for students (ages 6 to 17).
For groups of 30 or more, admission is 400 yen for adults and 100 yen for students.

We accept cash only. We do not accept credit cards.

We have a no-charge parking lot for up to seven passenger cars and two medium-sized buses.

It is a 10-minute walk from the north exit of the nearest station, Ashiya-gawa Station on Hankyu Kobe Line.
The path from Kaimori Bridge to Yodoko Guest House is a steep slope (Wright Slope). Mind your step.

There are taxi stands at each of the nearest Hanshin, JR, and Hankyu stations.

It takes about an hour to tour the facilities.
It may take longer during events such as the hina doll exhibition.

As a rule, visitors tour the building on their own. If you have any questions, please ask the staff.
During the hina doll exhibition, staff members will explain the exhibits (in Japanese only).

For small numbers, such as individuals or families, there is no need to book ahead. For groups (30 or more), be sure to book at least one week in advance.

Unfortunately, wheelchairs and strollers are not allowed inside because of the building’s many staircases and narrow entranceways. This is how it was designed and built, and because it is an Important Cultural Property, it must remain in its original form.

You are allowed to take photographs for personal use on the premises. However, please keep the following in mind:

• Do not use tripods, monopods, or selfie sticks.
• Do not move any furniture or other items inside the building.
• During the hina doll exhibition, do not photograph the hina dolls.
• If you plan to take photographs for any reason other than personal use (for example, commercial uses such as publishing, marketing, or distribution), please contact the PR Group of Yodogawa Steel Works beforehand.

In addition, please ensure that taking photographs does not inconvenience other visitors in any way.

Please do not eat or drink inside the building. You may do so outside. There is a vending machine between the main gate and the reception area.

There are no lockers. Please carry your personal belongings with you.
If you have large items such as suitcases that you cannot carry around inside the building, ask reception staff for assistance.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises, including in the parking lot.

There is a gift shop on the third floor that sells original Yodoko Guest House souvenirs.

The hina doll exhibition is held every year from mid February to early April.
The exact dates of each year’s exhibition will be announced in December of the previous year. These dates will be posted on our website.

During the hina doll exhibition, staff in the exhibit area will explain the dolls. Please feel free to ask questions.

It takes about one or two hours. However, the facilities are much more crowded during the hina doll exhibition than at other times of the year, so please allow yourself plenty of time for your visit.

Every day from dusk until 22:00.

On certain days in autumn, it is open to the public until 20:00.

Yes, you need to book ahead.
Yodoko Guest House was built as a private residence, so there’s a limit to the number of people that can enter at one time. To avoid congestion, be sure to book group tours at least one week in advance.

There is space. However, please note that the entrance is on a slope and so the bus’s underbody may scrape on the road surface. Also, if you plan to come in a large coach bus, make sure to contact us beforehand to ensure there is parking space available.
